Student Travel Award

 ***** Selection Process *****

To help increase the representation and participation of United States-based graduate students and postdoc fellows in this symposium, the symposium will provide support to help cover the travel expenses for students and postdoctoral fellows who are not supported by other fund sources. The amount of support provided to each person will be based on the actual documented cost of economy airfare, symposium registration and accommodation (up to $1,000). This amount is intended to help cover the travel expenses (economy airfare), registration and accommodation. Each awarded student/postdoc fellow will be expected to cover other expenses from other funding sources provided by their adviser(s) or academic institutions. The recipients of the travel awards will be decided by the symposium chairs.

  • The applicants for the travel awards must be
    • US-based students, that is, Ph.D. (or M.S.) students attending universities in the US (but not necessarily US citizens or permanent residents) or
    • US-based postdoctoral fellows (not necessarily US citizens or permanent residents).
  • Some priority may be given to student authors with accepted papers in the symposium who may not otherwise be able to attend due to budgetary constraints.

 ***** Application Process *****
